MAE 364 had a project where I had to make a chess piece designed using a theme I chose. My choice was to theme the set off of my university.

UB has a lot of very aggressive Canadian geese, as I was given the task to make a chess knight I knew it would be perfect to have the fearsome goose take that role. I also wanted to build more pieces so I made a a king and queen off of my school's mascots, Victor E Bull and Victoria S Bull.

The goose was made using 3D sculpting in Blender, while the mascots were made by 3D scanning mascot helmets curtesy of our athletics department.

These figures were made on my 3D printer and painted by hand.
