Industry Outreach

Working on real projects

My lab assesses the crashworthiness of aircraft. We reached out to the e.SAT team to offer services and we were told to prove ourselves before an agreement could be made.

We had to run a trial crash of their new plane in a simulation. The only problem was we didn't have the blue prints.

Rebuilding a concept

Building Models off pictures

I was tasked with making a crude replica of the aircraft using only the promotional pictures released by the makers. This proved rather challenging yet extremely satisfying. The part was created by a few lofts for the fuselage and revolutions for the motors. Sweeps and extrusions make up everything else.
